Costa Studio terms
Last updated: 9 October 2026
These terms govern the Costa Studio subscription: a website with online booking and a management panel for beauty businesses (salons, hairdressers, nail and lash artists, beauticians, barbers). You accept them by ticking the box in the panel before paying.
They also contain the data-processing agreement for your clients’ data (section 13).
1. Who we are
- MB Kava Plius — small partnership (mažoji bendrija) registered in Lithuania
- Company code: 304240490
- Registered address: Liepų g. 17, LT-41125 Biržai, Lithuania
- VAT number: LT100018052115
- Email: info@costacreativelab.com
- Phone: +370 643 27828
- Represented by: Grantas Petrulis
- Registered in the Register of Legal Entities of the Republic of Lithuania (State Enterprise Centre of Registers)
2. Who it’s for
Costa Studio is for businesses only: companies and self-employed people who use it for their trade. The 14-day consumer right of withdrawal therefore does not apply. The contract is made by the salon owner (or someone authorised by her), who fills in the billing details in the panel.
3. What’s included
- The salon website in the Costa Studio design with your photos, text, services and prices.
- A domain: a new one registered in your name (registration or renewal up to €15/year included) or your existing one, connected to the site.
- The panel studio.costacreativelab.com for you and your team: calendar, appointments, clients, messages, services, opening hours, phone notifications.
- Online booking on the website, confirmations and reminders to clients by email and SMS (SMS as in section 4).
- Online payments (deposit or full amount) into your own Stripe account.
- Hosting, SSL, backups, updates and technical maintenance.
- Up to 2 website content edits a month done by us (text, photos). Services, prices and hours you change yourself in the panel. Bigger jobs are quoted separately and only done if you accept.
4. Price and SMS
- The price depends on the number of paid masters: 1 – €29, 2 – €39, 3 or more – €49 a month (never more). A paid master is an active team member whose calendar is open for booking; the owner counts if she works with clients herself.
- When the number changes, the new price applies from the next payment; the current month is not recalculated.
- SMS: 100 SMS a month per paid master are included, at most 300. Above that, €0.06 per SMS, added to the next invoice. You can set a monthly cap in the panel; once reached, SMS stop and emails continue.
- 0% commission on bookings and client payments.
- No VAT charged — the seller applies the small business scheme (SVS) in Lithuania: prices are final and invoices carry no VAT.
- Reverse charge. For business customers in another EU country with a valid VAT number, the service is taxed in the customer’s country under the reverse-charge mechanism (Art. 196 of Directive 2006/112/EC): the invoice carries no VAT and the customer accounts for it.
- Promo codes. A promo-code discount (e.g. “The first 100”) applies to the plan price only – not to add-ons (e.g. Akademija), extra SMS or the domain. A code is valid only for a new subscription, until the date it states and, if places are limited, while places remain. A “forever” discount lasts as long as the subscription continues without interruption; if you cancel or it ends, the discount is lost and not restored later. The discount is calculated on the plan price in force at the time.
- If we change prices we’ll email you at least 30 days in advance; you can cancel before they apply.
5. Payment and launch
- You pay the first month by card in the panel (Plan & billing). The card is kept by Stripe for the monthly payments; we never see its number.
- The next payment is one month after the launch day of your website, then monthly on that date, in advance. Launch = the site is published with online booking switched on; we tell you by email. Example: you pay on 10 October, the site launches on 17 October → next payment 17 November.
- Until the subscription is paid the panel works, but online booking on the website is off — clients see your phone number.
- Stripe emails you an invoice after every payment; invoices are also in the panel (Card & invoices), where you can change the card and billing details.
- If a payment fails, Stripe retries and we let you know. If it isn’t paid within 14 days we may switch online booking off until it is.
6. Building the website
After payment we contact you within one working day. We usually launch the site within 3 working days of receiving all your material (photos, services and prices, team, opening hours); that is an estimate, not a guaranteed deadline. If you already own a domain, connecting it also depends on when you change its nameservers — until then the site runs on a temporary address.
7. Client payments
Clients pay directly into your own Stripe account. We are not a party to that payment, never hold the money and take no commission. Stripe fees, refunds, cancellation policies and receipts to clients are between you and Stripe. Your Stripe key is stored encrypted and used only to create and refund payments.
We are only the technology provider of your website and booking software. We are not a party to the contracts between you and your clients and are not responsible for the services you provide, your clients’ appointments, complaints or claims, or for your legal, tax and professional obligations (licences and permits, VAT and other taxes, invoices and receipts, consumer rules towards your clients, employing your team, health and safety). You are responsible for these, including client claims arising from your services or appointments, unless they are caused by our breach of these terms.
8. Your responsibilities
- You have the right to use the photos, text and logos you send us, including your team’s photos.
- Service, price and policy information on the site is correct, and you comply with the consumer, tax and other rules that apply to your business.
- You control who can access the panel: you invite and switch off team members (e.g. someone who has left) and keep logins safe.
- SMS and emails from the system go only to clients about their appointments; the system isn’t used for advertising without their consent.
- Your website shows only the reviews (and their photos) that clients agreed to publish; reviews you add by hand are real and you have their author’s permission.
9. Your domain
New domains are registered in your name; we only manage the technical side (DNS). If you already owned it, you remain the registrant. We never ask for your registrar password. If you leave, the domain stays yours and we help you move it.
10. Cancelling
Cancel anytime in the panel (Plan & billing → Cancel subscription) or by emailing info@costacreativelab.com. No minimum term.
- Before launch: the subscription ends straight away and nothing more is charged. The first month isn’t refunded if we have started building your site; if we haven’t, we refund it in full.
- After launch: cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month; partial months aren’t refunded. Until then you can change your mind and continue.
11. When the subscription ends
- Online booking is switched off and we may take the website offline.
- The panel and your data remain available for at least 30 days: you can download clients and appointments or ask us for a copy. After that we delete them, except what the law requires us to keep (e.g. invoices), and we email you first.
- Your domain stays yours (see section 9).
12. Termination by us
We may end the contract with 30 days’ notice by email, or immediately for non-payment after 14 days, illegal content, spam or other abuse. If we end it through no fault of yours, we refund the unused part of the paid month.
13. Data-processing agreement (GDPR Art. 28)
For your clients’ and team’s data, the salon is the controller and we are the processor. This section is the processing contract under Art. 28 GDPR.
- Subject, duration, purpose: providing Costa Studio (website, booking, calendar, reminders, messages, payment status) for the term of the contract and the period in section 11.
- Data subjects: your clients and team members.
- Data: name, phone, email, appointments and services, prices and payment status, notes, colour formulas, messages, reviews and their photos, schedules. We never see card data — Stripe handles it.
- Special categories: you only record health information (e.g. allergies) if you have a legal basis (e.g. the client’s explicit consent) and only as far as needed.
- Instructions: we process data only on your instructions — these terms and what you do in the panel — and only to provide the service. If we think an instruction breaches the GDPR, we tell you.
- Confidentiality and security: access only by people bound to confidentiality; encrypted connections, secret keys stored encrypted, role-based access, backups, encrypted phone notifications.
- Assistance: we help you with clients’ rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability), impact assessments and the supervisory authority.
- Breaches: we notify you without undue delay and within 48 hours of becoming aware, at your billing email.
- End: when the contract ends we return (by download) and delete the data as described in section 11.
- Audits: on request we provide the information needed to show compliance (info@costacreativelab.com).
Sub-processors (you authorise them; we’ll give 30 days’ notice of a new or replaced one and you can object by cancelling):
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting, database (Western Europe region), file storage, domains.
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) — emails and SMS to clients and the team.
- Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland) — your subscription payments to us.
- Apple, Google, Mozilla — delivery of phone notifications; the content is encrypted and they can’t read it.
- Openprovider — domain registration for extensions Cloudflare doesn’t sell.
Some providers may process data outside the EEA (in particular the US), based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).
14. Your data
Data about the owner, team members and billing (name, email, phone, company details, logins) we process as controller — to provide the service, invoice and keep it secure — as described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Availability and changes
We do everything reasonable to keep the website and panel available, but can’t guarantee uninterrupted operation: we rely on Cloudflare, Stripe, Brevo, SMS carriers and domain registries. We may improve or change features as long as the essentials of what you signed up for don’t get worse.
16. Liability
We are liable without limit for intent or gross negligence and wherever the law doesn’t allow a limitation. Otherwise our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the event, and we are not liable for indirect loss or lost profit. We are not liable for missed appointments or unsent reminders caused by third-party outages (Stripe, Brevo, SMS carriers, Cloudflare, registries), incorrect data or content you supply.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Lithuanian law. We try to settle any dispute amicably — email info@costacreativelab.com (we reply within 14 days). Failing that, the courts of Lithuania at our registered office have jurisdiction.
18. Contract language
The contract is concluded in the language of the panel you sign up in — English or Lithuanian. These terms are also published in other languages for convenience; if a translation differs, the English or Lithuanian version you signed up with prevails.
19. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we’ll tell you by email and in the panel 30 days in advance. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before they take effect. Changes only apply for the future, never to a period you have already paid, and we make them only for a good reason, such as a change in the law, in what our providers charge or offer, or for security.
